Feel-Good Dopamine Makes Brown Fat Happy, Too. Hey fitness fanatics!
Our topic today is about dopamine and what it can do for us besides make us feel happy, excited, or panicked. Scientists from the University of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany have demonstrated how increases in dopamine activation can bolster mitochondria and caloric loss via brown fat cells. In other words, dopamine makes brown fat happy, too. Dopamine is a brain chemical which helps send signals between nerve cells, so everything from arousal to stress – good and bad – or even exercise can cause an outpouring of dopamine and really get your body going. A combination of caffeine, which also releases dopamine, and exercise, which encourages increased caloric burning via your mitochondria and brown fat activity, is an excellent recipe for feeling really good and losing weight efficiently.
